Superbowl Party Ideas

A day late but I just wanted to share how I did some decorating for the Superbowl yesterday. I'm still in shock as most if not all the sports enthusiasts are today, on how close the Seahawks were to winning a repeat Superbowl but sadly lost it in the last 2 minutes of the game by one lousy play call. Ugh! It was so sad to see them lose but they are a great team and I'm sure they'll be back to the big game once again.

We had a very small party but I still wanted it to be special and fun, so this is how I set up some of the eating/snack areas.

This table runner idea was provided by the talented and crafty lady, Melaine of My Sweet Savannah. I used craft brown wrapping paper I had left over from Christmas and bought white number and letter stickers from Staples. Please don't judge my green lines. I was in a hurry and really can't draw a straight line to save my life. You can see her how she made hers, here.

I have to say I am so glad Seahawk colors are blue and green and not some unfortunate color like brown and orange.
I simply purchased plates and napkins in these colors, pom poms, some Jones Co. sodas in blue and green and of course added in some Skittles.
This bar area sure has come in handy in the last couple months, and it's been the dessert bar more than the drinking bar as of late, which I have no problem with. I might or might not have a stained blue tongue from that icing on the cupcakes today.

Anyway I hope you all had a fun time watching the game and until next year, GO HAWKS!
