Week 4 here on the One Room Challenge of redoing our bar area. There has been some progress. I repeat there has been some progress.
As you can see the cabinet got a little trim work done, It still needs its shelf and then painting will start. The new light arrived from School House Electric. It's different than what I thought I was going to choose but decided with this one since it matches the same one I have in our hallway nearby.
In this photo it's a little hard to tell but the base in matte black and the stripes on the glass shade are also black, to me the photo looks brown.
Also, you can see the planking has started. I am super excited with this look. The planking will continue up on the ceiling as well.
So... the only thing in the way of us finishing this project on time is getting the counter. I am 95% sure I'm going with Ceasarstone in honed Raven but am waiting to hear back on if I can this small of a piece and the price. I really need to get this counter thing done asap.
Things left to do:
get countertop installed
assemble shelf and trim work around cabinet
diy floating shelves and paint/install them
Is getting this all done in the next 2 weeks feasible? Not sure but I am guessing it will really be down to the wire.
If you've missed any of my past week updates here they are:
Week 1 The plan
Week 2 demo/progress
Week 3 progess

By the way, I am hosting an online Younique party right now and I'd love for you to go HERE and check out the crazy good mascara that I use now. I'm sure you've heard that you should play up your best features, but sadly as I'm getting older my maybe once better features are fading fast, so why not play up your eyes? I can't tell you enough how this mascara lengthens and curls my lashes. It's GOOD. So check it out, my party closes very soon. Thanks!
